Board of Education Seeks Candidate for Vacancy
The New Fairfield Board of Education is seeking candidates to fill a vacancy on the Board as the result of a resignation. Any candidates interested in serving on the New Fairfield Board of Education must submit a letter of interest to the Board of Education Office, 3 Brush Hill Road and to the appropriate Town Committee (an unaffiliated candidate is not required to fulfill this procedure) by 12:00 p.m. on June 26th. The candidates must also be present at the Board of Education meeting scheduled for June 29, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. via zoom, to express that interest. At that meeting, members of the Board of Education will have the opportunity to ask questions of the candidates to fill the vacancy. PDF version:

NFES and NFMS will follow an early dismissal schedule today, Friday, June 12th.
NFHS will continue to operate on its regular schedule. The building is fully air conditioned. The dismissal times are as follows:
NFMS .............. 11:40 a.m.
NFES ............... 12:35 p.m.
NFHS ............... 2:05 p.m.
