On the evening of May 26, NFHS theater students attended the Halo Awards at the beautiful Palace Theater in Waterbury. These awards recognize excellence in high school theater across the state of Connecticut. Halos Judges attended our productions of “Clue” in the fall, and “The Addams Family” in the spring, and our students received 13 nominations (including overall nominations for Best Play and Best Musical!
Andrew Nittolo-Novotny was awarded “Best Performance in a Comic Male Role in a Play” for his roles as Mr. Boddy/Chief Cop/McCarthy in “Clue”.
Taylor Proto received special recognition with a “Last Minute Hero Award” for going on to play the role of Uncle Fester for 3 out of 5 performances when that actor was out sick.
Chloe Adams received special recognition for being a Student Director for “Clue”.
Chloe Adams also received the prestigious Artistic Director award for her overall excellence, vision, and leadership for “Clue”.
