On Friday, October 17, 44 New Fairfield High School students attended a performance of the Metropolitan Opera's La Boheme at Lincoln Center in New York City. Students were treated to the lavish production by Franco Zefarelli, which includes a Parisian street scene with over 200 actors, a donkey and a horse all on stage! Students commented on the intensity of the opera's story, and were surprised to learn that opera singers do not use microphones, filling the hall solely with their voice.
