Dr. Galina Bakhtiarova, Chair of the World Language and Composition Department at Western Connecticut State University presented a lecture, From Cuba with Sugar: Hershey Project in the Tropics and Iberian Nostalgia in Pennsylvania, to Spanish II Honors, III, IV Honors and AP students on Tuesday, April 29.
Students learned about the connection that Milton Hershey, Hershey Pennsylvania, Spanish Revivalism and Cuba have, tied to the manufacture of chocolate and sugar. The department of World Languages would like to thank Dr. Bakhtiarova for sharing her unique insights with our students.
