Rebecca Bayreuther Donohue visited NFHS to give a talk to Mrs. McGovern's Maritime Culture ECE class. Rebecca is affiliated with the Mystic Seaport Museum where she is an advisor for historical costumes, as well as an organization called Dirty Blue Shirts which specializes in research and the display of historical costumes.
Students learned about the history of maritime knitting, and began to create pieces on their own.
