Tonight, I informed the New Fairfield Board of Education that I will be retiring on June 30, 2022, and I wanted to let you know as soon as possible. After thirty-eight years in public education, four of them in New Fairfield, I felt it was time for me to move to a new phase in my life and let someone else lead our outstanding school district.
I am proud of the work we have done during my tenure in New Fairfield. We continued to educate our children through the pandemic; we increased learning opportunities for all students; we are building two new schools; and we always put our children first. It has been my pleasure to lead our exceptional school district. I look forward to working with the BOE as they search for a new leader, and I will do everything in my power to ensure that the transition is a smooth one. I am so very grateful to all the wonderful colleagues, students, and families who have impacted my life in New Fairfield. Thank you all.
Love, Dr. Pat
