Mr. Michael Chapleau, Assistant Principal, 9th & 11th Grades
Mr. Michael Chapleau
It is a bit of a homecoming for me being a graduate of New Fairfield High School and now having the opportunity to return as an Assistant Principal. I have very fond memories of my time at New Fairfield, remembering my participation on both athletic teams and participating in many other great extra curricular activities. I am looking forward to sharing many of these experiences again with you as one of your Assistant Principals.
To tell you a little about myself, I graduated from Springfield College in Massachusetts with an M.S. in Psychology and an M.Ed in Counseling. After working in the business world for a number of years, I returned to Western Connecticut State University to receive my teaching certification, and practiced as a school counselor at both Greenwich and Wilton High Schools. During this time I also continued with my education, pursuing my administrative degree in Educational Leadership at Sacred Heart University. I also enjoyed working as the Varsity Coach for both the Cross Country and Track teams during this time as well as being both a class and club advisor.
My career in education has been a passion and the realization of a dream come true for me, and I am looking forward to sharing these experiences with the students and community here at New Fairfield High School.
