Attendance

schoolapplebar.pngSchool attendance is monitored very closely. When a student is out it is necessary to call or e-mail the school nurse and state the reason the child is out.  When a student returns to school, the student's parent/guardian must provide his/her teacher with a written excuse upon his/her return.
If a student misses more than 30 days, his/her parents/guardians will be notified that retention may be considered.
In cases of illnesses (3 weeks or more), the student is eligible for homebound instruction. In such cases, please notify the school as soon as possible.
Tardy Students
We believe school is important enough to be here on time every day. If a student is tardy, he/she must report to the office to sign in and receive a pass to class.  Excessive tardiness will be addressed with parents by an administrator.  Students are considered tardy after 8:50 am.  However, morning activites begin as soon as buses are in, which is usually 8:45 am.  We hope you will help us educate your children by getting them to school by 8:45 am each day.  We encouarage them to take the bus if at all possible so they will arrive on time.
