New Fairfield Public School District

The Teacher Education And Mentoring (TEAM) Program was created for the purpose of providing support and professional development to beginning teachers. TEAM is designed around five professional growth modules in order to provide a framework for supporting new teachers. These five modules are focused on the following domains of the Common Core of Teaching (CCT): classroom environment, planning, instruction, assessment and professional responsibility. TEAM mentors play a vital role in supporting new teachers’ professional growth and development. 

TEAM is the new teacher certification process that replaced the BEST program.
