New Fairfield Public School District

Family Resource Center

The parent resource center is a child-centered opportunity for families to engage with community families and professionals in a supportive informal setting.  Primary caretakers are welcome to attend the play-based interactive sessions with their children ages 2-5.

The Philosophy

We believe every child should be afforded the opportunity to learn about the world around them by exploring, playing and interacting with others.    Families provide the foundation and guidance for a child’s developmental journey.  We recognize all children develop at different rates, in a variety of ways, and all families are unique.  Collaboration between families, educators and community members is essential to the growth and development of all children.

The Mission

The mission of the New Fairfield Public Schools’ Family Resource Center is to provide support to families as they navigate early childhood development.
