   Consolidated School is a PK to Grade 2 facility located in the closely knit lakeside community of New Fairfield, CT. The school house was built in 1942 and underwent an extensive renovation and expansion in 2000.  We are a vibrant collaborative community of about 685 students and a faculty of 95 highly qualified, nurturing professionals.

  Teachers, staff, parents and administrators work together to provide a highly motivating, developmentally appropriate environment in which students are encouraged to excel. Our rigorous curriculum is focused on the development of skills and concepts necessary to think critically, solve problems, and locate resources through engaging learning activities that are meaningful to young children.  Students are provided with whole class, small group, and individual instruction as appropriate to the content area and needs of the individual. Technology equipment available to our students expands on a yearly basis as more Smart Boards, computers, Elmo document cameras, Ipods, and communication stations are acquired through district and PTO funding. Support services are available to assist children with individual needs.

    The Consolidated School PTO is an integral part of our active school community. Volunteers provide opportunities for families to come together in activities ranging from the Harvest Fair in October, Social Studies and Science Fairs in winter and the Art Fair and Ice Cream Social in May.  Our PTO raises funds which make exciting enrichment activities possible including author visits, science labs and puppet shows as well as additional classroom materials and technology equipment. Parent volunteers are welcome and encouraged to participate in classroom activities, helping students in the media center and annual school events such as the Music Share, Turn Off TV Week and Fun Day.

    Consolidated School provides a warm, caring environment in which children grow academically, socially, emotionally and physically. We set challenging goals for our students and work together to cultivate the unique talents of each one.
