School Rules
All members of the New Fairfield Middle School community will abide by the following guidelines
for our school.  These guidelines promote a safe, respectful environment in which teachers can teach and students can learn.

Rule #1.  
Keep your agenda book with you at all times; be prepared to show your agenda pass if you are in the hallway during a class period or lunch.
Rule #2.  
Keep book bags and backpacks in locker or homeroom (with teacher's permission) throughout the school day.
Rule #3.  
Keep all outerwear, especially jackets and coats, in lockers throughout the school day.
Rule #4.  
Do not wear hats, bandannas, or other head attire in school (unless you are using a perks card or participating in a school spirit day).
Rule #5.  
Do not chew gum in school.
Rule #6.  
Walk, do not run, in the halls and stairwells and on the sidewalks.  Please stay to the right in the hallways.
Rule #7.  
Consume food and beverages other than water only in the lunchroom.  Clear water bottles are allowed in the classrooms.
Rule #8.
Use appropriate and respectful language with peers and adults.
Rule #9.  
Show respectful behavior to adults and classmates.
Rule #10.  
Respect the school building and school property.

Rule #11.  
Be on time for homeroom, lunch and all classes.
Rule #12.
Leave beepers, cell phones, and laser pointers home.  Keep audio equipment (CD's, small radios, etc.) in your locker.
