Classroom Policies
 Homework Policy
Students are responsible for writing their homework assignments in their assignment pad every day. Students will bring home a “Take Home Folder” each day. Inside you will find corrected work, school forms, notices and homework sheets.

Handing in homework on time is very important in keeping up with our studies, participation in follow up activities and developing responsibilities. If your child fails to hand in a homework assignment during the week, a homework notice will be sent home. The notice will state which assignment(s) are missing. The parent will be asked to sign the notice and return it to school. Your support in this matter is appreciated.
 Assignment Pad
Each student has received an assignment pad, which should come home every night. Time is set aside every day for assignments to be copied from the board. It is the student's responsibility to record all information. Please ask to see your child's assignment pad every night. I will initial the assignment pad each day. I also ask that during the first several months of school that the parents initial the assignment pad as well. You may also write me notes in the message area. If homework completion is an issue both teacher and parent will continue to sign the assignment pad.
 Reading Log
Every month the students are given a reading log. Please make sure your child is reading for a minimum of 15 minutes per night, weekends included. This is typically the only homework given over the weekend. The reading logs are to be signed and returned to school each Monday. This will count as a Reading homework grade.
