Princess Academy by Shannon Hale was reviewed by a fourth grade girl. "This book is one of my favorites because it has a lot of suspense and adventure. It all starts with a girl named Miri, who lives in a mountain top village that gets selected as the village where the parents of the prince's betrothed will live. That means all the girls between the ages of 14 and 18 must attand a new princess academy. They spend the year studying poise, history, conversation, dancing, and a few other subjects. But, when the teacher promised to let them visit home, she said 'Whoever passes the test shall be allowed to visit home.' The problem is, only two girls pass and Miri is one of them. She tempts the other girls into running home to visit their families. When the ball comes around, the prince comes and goes without choosing his betrothed. The girls are devastated. They have to spend another winter learning their subjects. But thieves come along. Join the excitement as Miri battles thieves and soldiers. I'm going to let you find out the surprise for yourself. Have a Happy Read!

The Spoon in the Bathroom Wall by Tony Johnson was reviewed by a fifth grader who said "I loved this book because of the imagination and magic. I strongly suggest it to people who enjoy the Harry Potter series. There are griffins (half-hawk and half-horse creatures) in the story and a school bully Rufus Turk who works for theevil school principal of the Bloggins School, The heroine Martha lives in the boiler room. This is a great story so drop by the library and pick it up."

Tasmanian Devils by Sandra Markle was reviewed by a fourth-grade boy. "It shows how they live when they are young. They eat dead animals and help Tasmania so all of the dead animals don't get in the way since they decay so slowly. I liked this book because I am really interested in Tasmanian Devils. I learned a lot of facts that I didn't know before I read this book"

Diary of a Killer Cat by Anne Fine was reviewed by a fifth-grade boy,
"This story is about a cat named Tuffy who can't resist killing things. And he always gets away with it. Until one day he killed the neighbor's rabbit. Tuffy's owner Ellie makes it a coffin and buries it.
"ThenTuffy had to go to the vet which was a total disaster because he scared all the other animals and scratched the vet when she tried to give him a flu shot. As they are leaving, the rabbit's owner comes in and says her rabbit has disappeared. Ellie tells her the sad story but when they go to find the grave, there is nothing but an empty hole in the ground. Ellie insists that the empty hole means the rabbit lived and Tuffy wasn't a killer after all!" Read on.
