Meet Your Teacher
Mrs. Hannon
This is my fourteenth year as a classroom teacher and my eighth year here at Meeting House Hill.  I completed the Integrated Bachelors/Masters Program at the University of Connecticut. I also attended Southern Connecticut State University to attain a Masters in Science Education.  My current position and my participation in the UCONN program have been extremely beneficial towards my professional development and both experiences have helped me to strengthen my commitment to quality education.

I love learning and exploring with my class and I enjoy helping them find the tools to make them successful students.  Each day holds new opportunities for the personal and academic growth of the children.  I try to spread my enthusiasm for the curriculum to my students.  Teaching Science is a personal favorite, but I also love discussing literature and creating solutions to Math problems.

On a personal level, I celebrated my sixth wedding anniversary during the summer.  My husband and I had our first child, Liam, on New Year's Eve 2006.  We also have two puppies - Bogie and Daisy (adorable Shih-Tzus).  I love watching movies, reading mystery novels, and playing golf.  That's me in a nutshell and I look forward to getting to know you throughout the days to come!
