Thousands of Jews were forced from their homes, communities, and synagogues into the hellish world of Nazi death camps throughout World War II. Then a teenager, Elie Wiesel was imprisoned in Auschwitz from April 1944 until the liberation of the camps in April 1945. Like many others, he lost his family to the death camps, but he himself survived. </B><I><B>Night</B></I><B> is the first of several works by the author on this dark period of modern history, but it remains his most powerful literary account of the Holocaust. Your paper will include biographical information regarding yourself and your family.  You will depict what you experienced during the Holocaust.  Your information must be based on your character's experiences from the reading; your experiences will be similar to Elie's, but from a different point of view.
