STAFF
Band Director
Mr. Scott D. King has directed the High School Band program since September of 1982. He also directed the 7th and 8th grades in the Middle School Band Program through June of 2005. He is a 1981 graduate from the Hartt School of Music holding degrees in Music Education and Music Performance. He has arranged a wide variety of music selections for performances by the New Fairfield Music Department. Besides directing the Bands, he is very involved in the the theatre program in NFHS. He is the Director for the Spring Musical and Technical Director (Lighting and Sound) for the productions at New Fairfield High School. He lives in New Fairfield with his wife Diane, and children Carolyn and David. He currently performs with the Danbury Symphony Orchestra on his principal instrument, tuba.

Flaq Squad Director / Assistant to the Director
Miss Risch is a chemistry teacher at New Fairfield High School. She has been director of the Flag Squad Color Guard for the 8 years she has been teaching at the high school. She is a graduate of UCONN for her bachelor's and master's degree in science education. Besides assisting the band, Miss Risch also serves on NFHS's School Improvement Team, NEASC accreditation committee and is the advisor for the Harry Potter Club.

Drum Instructor
Thanks to Nick Stellner for working with our Drum Line. He is currently a Senior at WCSU Majoring in Music Education.
Drill Assistant
Thanks to Charlene Schosser for helping teach the drill. She is a former member of the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corp. The Blue Devils are currently the 2007 World Champions of DCI.
Music Assistant
Thanks to Carolyn King for helping teach various sections of the marching band. She is a graduate of Messiah College with a degree in Music Education and is currently an elementary music teacher in Fairfield, CT.
