During the fall, the band performs as a pep band providing support for the NFHS Varsity Football and to entertain fans at the home games. As the Rebels Marching Band we perform during Halftime at home Varsity Football games. During the winter and spring, the Concert Band performs. This gives our students a smaller environment and an opportunity to showcase other skills. The Concert Band performances are a highlight for our students, parents and many within the community. During the late spring, the band again plays the part of a marching band performing in the Danbury Memorial Day Parade. This allows our students to experience another educational aspect of musical performance while fostering a sense of pride, community and patriotism. The Jazz Ensemble is a select group of students that meet weekly outside of the school day to learn performance techniques in jazz, rock and popular styles. The Jazz Ensemble performs at various venues throughout the school year.
