Cosmo Civale was born and raised in Stamford, CT. Cosmo lives in Newtown, CT with his wife Sheila, who is also an educator in New Fairfield. Mr. Civale attended Stamford Public Schools and Stamford Catholic High School.

He graduated from Sacred Heart University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management and a minor in Education. He received a Master of Business Administration in Organizational Behavior from Iona College and a Sixth Year Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Southern Connecticut State University.

Mr. Civale has been a Business and Computer Science teacher, a Department Coordinator, a Secondary School and District Technology Coordinator, and an Assistant Principal before beginning his current role as Assistant Principal at NFHS. He has also been an educational consultant to IBM on a part time and full time basis. He has been a conference presenter at local, state, regional and national technology conferences.
