About Mrs. Welton

Dear Parents,

You and I will be working together to make your child's second grade experience as successful as possible. Therefore, I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you a few things about myself.

I live in New Milford and have been teaching in New Fairfield for the past 22 years. I have two children of my own, Kate (19) and Ben (15).  Both of my children are sophomores.   Kate attends the University Of                    Massa chutes and Ben is at New Milford High School.

I've been told that I have lots of energy and a pretty good sense of humor. I strive to motivate each child to reach their own personal best. The atmosphere within the classroom is structured, nurturing and exciting. There is lots of movement and hands on activities which cater to varied learning styles. Being a compassionate, kind friend is essential. My goal is for your child to acquire a genuine love for learning that will last a lifetime. We will work hard and share lots of laughs each day.

I have found that a strong, positive learning experience is built on a cooperative effort between parent, child and teacher. I enjoy working parents and invite you to become part of our classroom family. Please consider volunteering within the classroom if your schedule permit
