Mrs. Joyce Jacknick, K Special Education
For over thirty years, I have enjoyed teaching young children in a variety of settings.  After completing my Bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing, and Elementary Education, and my Master's degree in Special Education at SUNY Paltz; I taught at the School for Language and Hearing Impaired Children in New York City.  In 1980, my husband and I moved to Patterson, NY where we operated The Children's Center, a preschool and child care center, for 23 years.  In 2003 my family moved to Sherman and I began teaching in New Fairfield.  I first taught in the Early Intervention Program and then in fourth grade at Meeting House Hill School.  At Consolidated School, I have been a Resource Room teacher for the past two years and am currently co-teaching in the Extended Day Kindergarten program.
